Two from two! Perfect start continues. Scunthorpe actually had the better early chances — Beestin fired over, then a dangerous break saw Duncan pull off a big save to deny Pat Jones. But once we got going we didn't let up. Chambers-Parillon rattled the woodwork the wrong side, Kamara forced a flying save, and the goal finally came on 23 minutes — Cardwell's effort was saved but Popoola followed in to tap home on his home debut. Get in. Almost had a second before the break too, Jones bailing Scunthorpe out to deny Cardwell again. Quieter second half but chances kept coming — Kamara into the side netting, Coker's shot deflected wide, then Jones somehow kept out Cardwell and Colclough in quick succession. Kendall then hit the post in stoppage time when it looked easier to score. Frustrating not to add a second, but Scunthorpe barely laid a glove on us.
